Mrs. Melissa Sue Robinette, Greenwood, passed away on the morning of Thursday, December 16, 2021. She was 41. Melissa was born March 1, 1980 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of Gary Lee and Karen Sue (Burke) Collins.

Melissa had been employed in the cafeteria at Center Grove High School for three years. She was a devoted homemaker and delighted in caring for her family, whom she loved dearly. She spent some of her leisure time reading and working crossword puzzles and playing board games, especially Word Feud. She also enjoyed watching game shows and True Crime on television.

Melissa enjoyed music and listening to Billy Strings and the Grateful Dead. She loved animals, especially her Great Dane, Xavier and her Pitbull, Chopper. Melissa loved being outdoors and looked forward to taking vacations to the beach as well as visiting her parents' cabin. She attended the First Church of the Nazarene of Indianapolis.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Adam Robinette; her children, Zavier Robinette, Jazmin Robinette and Kirsten Robinette; her parents, Gary and Karen Collins; her brother, Sean (Lauren) Collins; her paternal grandmother, Wilma Collins; a niece Kenzie Collins; a nephew, Colten Collins; her mother-in-law, Beverly Robinette; her brothers and sisters-in-law as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in passing by her grandparents and her father-in –law, Randy Robinette.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with Pastor Stanley Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
