Major Michael Anthony Chatlos retired USAF, Indianapolis, passed away on the early morning of Friday, June 25, 2021. He was 83. Michael was born July 28th,1937 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Michael G. Chatlos and Irene Chatlos.

Michael attended St. Ignatius High School and later John Carroll University. A proud veteran, Michael served his country in the United States Airforce for 20 years in Operations Logistics.

Michael also enjoyed woodworking, boating, fishing, golf, and bowling. He loved his family dearly.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his wife, Janet Chatlos. His life, his love, now forever together.

Michael is survived by his Son Martin (Lisa) Chatlos, Daughter Kim Chatlos; his 6 grandchildren Michael C. Chatlos, Jalissa Chatlos, Jacquelyn Chatlos, Jaime Keppler, Jesse George, and Anthony George; and his 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters Elaine Scheiman and Margie Lewis.

Family will receive friends Tuesday July 6 ^th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN  46143, with memorial service and military honors to follow at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hart to Hart Hospice Foundation ( www.HTOHHFOUNDATION.org ) or Life's Journey ( www.lifesjourney-avon.com ).
