Mr. Michael David Whitaker, of Greenwood, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the age of 50. Michael was born October 4, 1974, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a beloved son of Kenneth and Diana (Goldsby) Whitaker.

Michael attended Center Grove High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1992. Following high school, he pursued trade certification in plumbing and HVAC, building a strong and respected career. He was employed for several years with Fellowship Heating and Air as a dedicated and skilled service technician.

Known for his love of adventure and mechanical know-how, Michael was an avid Jeep enthusiast and an active member of the local Jeep club. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed four-wheeling, camping, boating, and traveling—his favorite destination being the majestic Grand Canyon. A devoted NASCAR fan, Michael also had a passion for collecting and shooting firearms. He possessed a rare talent for fixing and repairing just about anything and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.

Michael is survived by his parents, Ken and Diana Whitaker; his children, Elijah David Whitaker, Daniel Marcial Whitaker and Olivia Marie Whitaker; his brother, Brent David Whitaker; his niece, Evelyn Grace Whitaker and nephew, Jacob David Whitaker. His presence in the lives of those who knew him will be deeply missed and warmly remembered.

Funeral services to honor Michael's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at GracePoint Church, 330 West Whiteland Road, Whiteland, with Dr. James Gibson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service Wednesday at the church.
