Michael Meredith "Spanky" Hittel, 65, of Indianapolis died Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Mike was born to the late Frank E. and Marie Reynolds Hittel in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 23, 1944. Mike retired from Allisons in 2005 working there for 32 years as a tool and die maker. He married Bonnie Tague on January 23, 1964 and she survives. Also surviving are three sons and daughters inlaw: Robert B. and Beth Hittel, Frank E. and Dawn Hittel, and Michael J. and Andrea Hittel. One daughter: Grace "Shelly" Hittel. One brother and sister inlaw: Charles "Nick" and Katheryn Hittel. One sister: Alice Black. Eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He is preceded by one brother: James Paul Hittel. Family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Thursday. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135 Greenwood, IN 46143.
