Mr. Michael Lynn Maggard, Indianapolis, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, August 19, 2025. He was 69.  Mike was born July 11, 1956 in Leslie County, Kentucky, a son of the late Marie Maggard Tomes.
Mike was a self-employed painter for many years and was a member of the Word of Life Full Gospel Church in Indianapolis.
Mike is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lillian Maggard; his daughter, Michele (Tracy) McDonald, all of Indianapolis. He is also survived by his siblings, Debbie (Bruce) Williams of London, Kentucky, Jeff (Ethel) Maggard of London, Kentucky, Roger (Grace) DeHart of Jacksonville, Florida and Tracy Tomes of Pueblo, Colorado.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in passing by his sister, Barbara Parker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 am, Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with Pastor Jan Vanover officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the funeral home.
