Michael W. "Mike" Lock, age 66 of Franklin, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 with his loving family at his side. He was born October 30, 1950 in Beech Grove to Loren E. and Lillian I. (Allen) Lock. Mike was a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School with the Class of 1969. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Greenwood Christian Church. He was an avid fisherman and he loved to hunt and trap as well. Mike played softball, basketball and he loved running. He worked at Emerson Controls for 34 years.

Mike married the love of his life, Debbie Robson on November 29, 1969 and she survives him along with their sons, Michael W. (Pam) Lock, II of Franklin, Andrew (Kim) Lock of Franklin, and Christopher (Katie) Lock of Indianapolis; daughter, Julie Sinn of Henryville; brothers, Gary (Barb) Lock of Indianapolis, Paul Lock of Hope, and Kevin Lock of Cloverdale; sisters, Suzie (Dave) Thomas of Indianapolis and Janet (Gerry) Gartung of SC; 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mark Lock.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
