Micheal Allen Sprong, Greenwood, passed away on the early morning of December 15, 2022. He was 77 years old. Micheal was born in Marion, Indiana to his parents Richard and Betty Sprong. After Betty's death Micheal was introduced to his beloved stepmother, Omajean Sprong, who was a large part of raising him in his childhood. He graduated from Oak Hill High School. Micheal met his wife, Nancy Kay Sprong, and together they shared 55 years of marriage until Nancy passed away in 2020.
Micheal worked as an inside salesman for 66 Kawneer Franklin and retired in 2001 after 20 years of service. Micheal was a member of Southland Community Church with his wife for many years. Micheal was a lifelong fan of sports, and more specifically baseball. Micheal always favored the Chicago Cubs.
Micheal is survived by his children Christina (Steven) Vaughn and Todd (Lisa Dunn) Sprong; his grandchildren, Dylan Colbert, Ian Vaughn, Kayleen Vaughn, Madalyn Vaughn, Rayanna Sprong, Evan Vaughn, and Brayden Vaughn; his 11 great grandchildren; his step mother, Omajean Sprong; his siblings, Pat (Penny) Sprong, Toni (Kris) Turnipseed, and Kathy Sprong; his many nieces and nephews.
