Mildred J. Bennett, 91, of Greenwood passed away on December 1, 2017. Mildred was born on July 2, 1926 in Indianapolis, Indiana to John and Mildred Bruckman. Mildred was a licensed Lay Minister; she was a proud member of the Southport Christian Church. She enjoyed board games, reading and traveling to visit family. Later in life she worked administration for Emanuel High School. Mildred was a longtime Southsider. Mildred is survived by her children, Lance (Marilyn) Bennett, Marc (Beth) Bennett, Brant (Cheryl) Bennett and Beth (Jeff) Lawless; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. There will be a visitation will be held from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM, Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Southport Christian Church, 201 E. Epler Ave, Indianapolis, IN with visitation from 11:00 AM until the start of service.
