Obituary

Mildred Louise Kendall Chambers, 96, of Indianapolis, passed away December 29, 2016. The daughter of Virgil and Esther Roth Kendall, Mildred was born October 31, 1920 in Miami County, Indiana.

A homemaker, she worked at several businesses over the years, including Sears at Greenwood Park Mall and the Southport Post Office. Mildred was a member of Southport United Methodist Church, volunteered at a hospital and the library at Greenwood Village where she had made her home the past several years.

Mil, or Millie, as she was known to many family and friends, found delight in things within nature''s landscape, like pansy flowers, butterflies, daffodils, cardinal birds, morel mushrooms, and the sweetest days of her younger life.

Millie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda S. and Thomas "Jerry" Stark of Indianapolis; grandson and his wife, Ryan Kendall and Samantha J. Stark of Chicago, IL. In addition to her parents, Mil was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne R. Chambers, Sr. and sons, Michael and Wayne R. Chambers, Jr.

No services are scheduled. Entombment at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
