Mildred L. Holman, 94, of Indianapolis, passed away February 18, 2016 at her residence. Born March 17, 1921 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Joshua and Leatha (Sutton) Landers. She was a seventy four year member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, Sayrna Shrine Guild, United Senior Action, Red Hat Society, and Association of American Women in Radio and Television. Mildred was also an avid quilter, winning numerous awards at the county and state fair level. Mildred worked for twenty eight years at WTTV- Channel 4, retiring in 1986 as Director of Personnel and Government Affairs. Mildred is survived by her son David (Donna) Holman; Daughter-in-Law, Sandra Holman; eight Grandchildren, fifteen Great-Grandchildren, and ten Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David, and a son, Richard Holman.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South S.R. 135 Greenwood, IN 46142. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
