Mildred F. Baird, age 93, of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014. She was born August 1, 1921 in Trafalgar to Charles A. and Delcia (Merriman) Lewis. She was a graduate of Southport High School with the Class of 1939. Mildred was a Bookkeeper for American Linen and Atlas Office Supply for many years. She attended Southside Bible Church. Mildred loved to sew and make dresses for her family. She married George P. Baird on December 7, 1940 and he preceded her in death on October 22, 1995.

Mildred is survived by her son, Phil (Cindy) Baird; son-in-law, Marvin Disbro; daughters, Nancy (Larry) Heacox and Dori (Don) Coffman; sister, Pauline Asplund; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Sherri Disbro; granddaughter, Khristine Heacox; brothers, Charles and Vincent Lewis; sisters, Virginia Bruce and Norma Lewis.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. or Parkinson''s Awareness Assoc. of Central Indiana.
