Obituary

Morton (Curly) O. Lane of Mary Esther, Florida gained his heavenly wings on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Morton had passed peacefully in his sleep at his residence. He was born on March 11th, 1932, in  Martinsville, Indiana where he grew up and graduated from Martinsville High School in 1950. He was a  member of Mary Esther United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Veteran serving our country in the  United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post #235. He was always a very patriotic person who loved his country.
He was a strong believer in serving the Lord and loved going on mission trips to other countries. He  loved his family unconditionally and enjoyed having company often at his home. In addition, He  absolutely loved playing golf, going bowling, playing dominos, and playing Euchre, and was always so  proud to show off them trophies. He was an incredibly competitive person by nature.
At 91 years of age, he would always say his secret to a good long life was believing in God, drinking  Pepsi, and eating candy.
Morton O. Lane was proceeded in death by his Parents: Walter and Violet Lane, Brothers: Walter and  Russell Lane, Sisters: Laveda Mills, Peggy Wright, and Patsy Blew, Daughter: Janice Hendrix, Great  Grandson: Noah Rhodes, and Son-In-Law: William (Billy) Chambers.
