Myrtle Ruth Charles Gann 83, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015. Ruth was born on January 14, 1932 in Lee County, Kentucky, to the late Sidney and Maggie Charles.

She was a very kind and gentle soul with a loving and generous heart. Ruth retired from Marsh Supermarkets in 1999.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Bill Gann; six brothers, Herman, Dewey, Bill, Kenneth, Ed, and Donnie Charles; two sisters, Elizabeth (Charles) Alexander Shackelton and Ruby (Charles) Johnson; and grandson, Paul Upton, Jr. Survivors include her three daughters, Rosalie (Robert) Eader, Pamela Jane (David) Eaton, Libby Lee Burgess; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather in Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Wednesday November 11, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A service will be held on Thursday November 12, 2015 also at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
