After holding hands for 60 years and more than 56 years of marriage, Nancy (Brewer) Osborne left her husband Wayne to pass on to the next life on August 1, 2026, at the age of 76. She passed away peacefully in Indianapolis, Indiana, surrounded by the love of her family. Nancy was a devoted wife, a cherished mother to Sean, Heather, and Matthew, and a proud grandmother to six grandchildren. She was known by all for her kind and gentle demeanor, and the way that she loved others through gifts, time, and never-ending support. Nancy was never happier than when on a beach watching grandchildren play, and she never missed a child’s performance, game, or any other special occasion.

Nancy Brewer was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on February 7, 1950, to Howard and Gladys (Fleming) Brewer. She attended Southport High School (Class of 1968), where she met her sweetheart Wayne during their junior year. Following four years of travel for Wayne’s career in the Navy, Nancy worked as an executive and administrative assistant at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Butler University, the University of Indianapolis, and finally at Colorcon, where she was known for her talents to keep people and projects on track. Nancy loved people and celebrated them, and this was especially evident on her favorite holiday, Christmas, where she lovingly earned the title “Mrs. Claus” from her family.

Nancy’s legacy of love lives on through her devoted husband, Wayne, and her children: Heather and her husband Jason Vest, and Matthew and his wife Kimberly Osborne. Nancy was a deeply proud grandmother to Emmalyn, Andrew, Adam, Isaac, Nora, and Ethan. She is now reunited with her beloved first-born child, Sean Matthew Osborne, who preceded her in death on January 11, 1979.

A time of visitation will be for Nancy on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home located at1977 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, Indiana, 46143. A funeral service will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 5th at 6:00 p.m. Nancy will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 10:00 am. Family will meet on Thursday morning at 9:45 am in the funeral home lobby and process out to the grave together.
