Nancy Jane Townsley, 71, of Indianapolis passed away February 6 in her home.  She was born July 3, 1949 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Olaf and Bessie (McKinney) Townsley.

Jane, as she was known, had an Associate's Degree in Medical Technology and spent her career working in labs throughout Indianapolis.  She enjoyed nature and spent many hours in various local and state parks bird watching.  Jane engaged in political debates with whomever was willing.  She loved her son, nieces and nephews, and all her dogs, past and present.

Jane is survived by her son, Jeramy Townsley; siblings, Jewel (Jack) Compton, Neil (Amanda) Townsley, Kay Tindall, and Wayne (Sarah) Davis; beloved dogs, Skye and Beau; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her siblings Martha Townsley and John Townsley.

A private celebration will be held by the family at a later date.
