Nellie Jean Moore, 81, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012. Nellie was born on June 23, 1930 in Matador, TX to the late Royce and Earnestine (Ashford) Florence. She married her love Floyd C. Moore on September 2, 1950.
Nellie was a very loving wife, mother, and Nana to those she has left behind: husband, Floyd Moore of 61 years; son Michael Moore; and grandchildren Britney and Alex Moore.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters.
Nellie was a member of Southport Church of Christ and loved attending Bible Study. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting afghans. She also took pride in helping others.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood with the funeral service immediately following.
