Nettie Bell Michael, age 89, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 with her family at her side. She was born August 22, 1927 in Terre Haute, to Ray and Ruth Jones. Nettie married James Michael in Indianapolis in 1946. She was a homemaker who loved to sew, embroider, quilt and do puzzles. She had worked in the Cafeteria of Washington High School for many years. Nettie loved spending time with her family and she will be sorely missed.

Nettie is survived by her son, Carl and his wife, Alice of Indianapolis and her son, Gary of Indianapolis; brother, Carl Heck of Dugger, IN; sisters, Gloria Jean and Pat. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; brothers, Paul, Jimmy and Sherman Jones; sister, LaRay Schostof.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
