Nita Ann Mears, 81, of Indianapolis passed away June 23, 2020.  She was born October 8, 1938 in Scottsville, Kentucky to Ewell and Eunice (Elmore) Hogue.

Nita was married to Dick Mears.  She was a homemaker and caregiver for her family, taking care of her mother, among others, as they aged.  Nita appreciated beautiful things and enjoyed her flower garden and her carnival glass collection.  She loved her extended family and they will miss her dearly.

Nita is survived by her niece and nephew, Rebecca Kilby, and Jim (Sally) Wilson; and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dick, Nita was preceded in death by her three infant children, Charles Warren Wilson, Sandra Kay Wilson, and Marla Jane Wilson; and her sister, Myron Wilson.

Family will receive friends Saturday, June 27 from 10:00am - 12:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN  46143. Service will follow at 12:00pm.
