Obituary

Nora M. Phillips, 80, of Franklin, IN, passed away on September 27, 2023. She was born on June 30, 1943, in Jamestown, KY, to the late Chester and Noma (Phelps) Bradshaw. Nora was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Phillips, her children Mark (Lisa) Phillips and Susan Phillips, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews and their families. Nora is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Gerald Bradshaw, Gene Bradshaw, Glyn Bradshaw, Zelmadene Antle, and Doreen Luttrell.

Nora was always busy caring for her family and had a wide range of interests. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking, and even dabbled in carpentry projects. She was a graduate of Russell County High School in Kentucky. Nora dedicated her life to being a full-time homemaker, finding joy in taking care of her loved ones.

Nora was a past member of First Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and New Life Baptist Church.

Visitation for Nora will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood, IN. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
