Obituary

Norma Jean Gerlach, 66, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 a ther residence in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born January 4, 1944 in Peru, Indiana. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Orla C. and Virginia M. (Wimer) Belcher of Logansport, Indiana. Survivors include her husband Robert (Bob) Gerlach of Greenwood; two daughters, Karen Bleemel (Bob) of Martinsville and Janine Smith (Brent Shopp) of Greenwood, one son David Gerlach (Becky) of Franklin, six grandchildren, Matthew and Jeanna Gerlach of Franklin; Thomas, William, and Beth Ann Bleemel of Martinsville; and Jalynn Smith of Greenwood. Jean graduated from Logansport High School in 1962 and attended Bob Jones University. She married Robert (Bob) Gerlach on September 15, 1963 at the Methodist Church in Logansport, Indiana. She worked at Mr. D''s Food Markets in the meat departments for over 15 years. Hean loved to travel and spend the winters in Florida. She took pleasure in gardening and working outside. She enjoyed attending local auctions and antiquing. Jean was also an avid Pacers and Colts fan. Reverend Norman Ward will conduct a funeral service Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana. Visitation will be from 5-8 on Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Barbara B.
