Norma Sue Ratliff, Bargersville, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025. She was 84 years old. Norma was born in Pikeville, KY to her parents Frank and Elizabeth Thomas. Norma married her husband, AJ Ratliff, on October 12, 1957, and together they shared 67 years of marriage.
Norma was a member of Shelby Street Pentacostal Lighthouse Church with her husband for many years. She enjoyed participating in the senior group at the church and was known for the delicious dishes she would bring to the church potlucks. Norma was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; she would constantly put her family at the center of her life and support them in any way she could. She took pride in being a homemaker for her family and perfected her cooking skills over the many years. Norma also enjoyed shopping for everything from clothes to knick knacks. Goodwill was one of her favorite places to look for interesting items that she could paint and customize for her home. Norma never met a stranger and will be dearly missed for her persistent loving nature.
Norma is survived by her husband, AJ Ratliff; her children, Terry (Laura) Ratliff, Lesa (Rich) Briones, and Joseph Dean (Deanna) Ratliff; her grandchildren, Noelle (Cory) Pelsor, Nicole Ratliff, Terry (Amanda) Ratliff Jr., Tessa Ratliff, Kelsie Ratliff, Adam (Dannie) Hill, Tanner Hill, Taylor (Nicki) Justice, and Silas Ratliff; her 13 great grandchildren; her siblings, Blanche Phillips and Donretta Thomas; her many nieces and nephews.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents; her 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
A visitation for Norma will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be on March 12, 2025, at Shelby Street Pentacostal Lighthouse Church (8620 S Shelby St, Indianapolis, IN, 46227) at 10:30 am. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 12:30 pm.
