Norman E. "Gene" Eadens, 74, of Columbus, IN died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at his home surounded by his loving family. Gene was born to the late Norman E. & Daisy Guffy Eadens on October 20, 1934 in Indianapolis, IN. Gene retired in 1990 from General Motors. He was a member of Parkside Baptist Church in Columbus. Gene was a veteran serving in the US Army. Gene enjoyed woodworking. Gene was the best husband, father, grandpa and brother anyone could ever imagine. Everyone who new him loved him. He married Shirley Fox on May 2, 1954 and she survives. Also surviving are a son and daughter in-law: Roger & Cindy Eadens. Daughter and son in-law: Beth & Don O'Neil. Sister and brother in-law: Elizabeth & Howard Billeisen. Three grandaughters: Taryn O'Neil, Leslie Eadens, and Melissa Linder. Family will receive friends from 12 noon till time of service at 1:00 PM Saturday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home 1977 South State Road 135 Greenwood, IN 46143.
