Obituary

Mr. Norman James Hunt, 74, passed away December 15, 2021 at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital in Vancouver, Washington. Norman was born February 3, 1947 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, a son of the late Kenneth David and Mary (Marshall) Hunt.

Norman was a graduate of Purdue University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering and he had been employed at Warner Robbins Air Force Base in Warner Robbins, Georgia as an Aviation Electronics engineer. Previous to that, he had been employed with Naval Avionics in Indianapolis.

Norman was a proud veteran having honorably served his country in the United States Army where he served two tours of duty during the Vietnam Conflict.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Norman is survived by his wife Jan Hunt; his children, Laura (Patrick) Walden, Christina (Jeff) Schubnell and Grace Smith; his step-children, Richard (Jamie) Harline, Karrin (Mike) Foster, Julie (Tyler) Richey and Brad (Kacey) Harline; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four siblings as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his first wife, Beverly Sue Hunt; his stepfather, Don, a stepson, Michael Harline and six brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, with military honors conferred by a contingent from the United States Army and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Military Honor Guard.
