Novella Johnson, 90, of Indianapolis passed away January 13, 2014. Born July 16, 1923 in Lawrence County, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Allah and Blanch (Smith) McCarty. She married Byron G. Johnson on November 4, 1939 in Henderson, Kentucky.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry and Edward Johnson and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Byron; three brothers, Charles, Walter and Gerald McCarty; four sisters, Irma Montgomery, Mary Montgomery, Martha Cullown and Bernice Montgomery.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 16, 2014, 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood.
Visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
