Oliver Hugh Vermillion 64, of Indianapolis passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010. He was born in Indianapolis, IN to Edgar Hugh Vermillion and Elmira Vermillion Annis. Oliver was a member of the United States Army, the Seymour Legion Post # 89, then the Greenwood Legion Post # 252, Masonic Lodge # 412, a lifetime member of D.A.V., and Calvary Baptist Church. With the professional encouragement of Dr. Kevin Conley, Oliver formed a support group for stroke survivors. Oliver was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Hugh Vermillion; one daughter, Stacy Vermillion. Survivors include, his loving wife of 42 years, Becky Vermillion; two sons, Scott (Elaine) Vermillion and Todd (Michelle) Vermillion; nine grandchildren, Nic, Laura, Misty, James, Ashley, Nikolas, Dylan, Kiefer, and Eric; and two brother-in-laws, Dennis and Will Higginbotham. Family and friends will gather from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Service will follow at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday also at the funeral home.
