Ollie K. Mardis, 71, of Bargersville passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2010. She was born to the late Riley and Lydia Burton of Russell Springs, Kentucky. Ollie was a member of Fist Christian Church of Bargersville. Ollie enjoyed spending time with her family and being a homemaker. Ollie was preceded in death by a son, Rex Mardis; and four siblings, Billie Burton of Whiteland, Julius Burton of Los Angeles, CA., Lucian Burton of Franklin, and Elvis Burton of Amity. Survivors include her loving husband of fifty one years John R. Mardis; daughter, Angie Mardis (Ken Hughes); siblings, Ava Strom of Tuscon, AZ., Edna Higginbottom of Monticello, KY; Hollis and Leonard Burton both of Franklin; two grandchildren, Kevin Mardis, Riley Hughes; and one great-grandchild, Ava Mardis. Family and friends will gather on Friday, November 19, 2010 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. with a service immediately following.
