Orvil G. "Chuck" Robinson, 92, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away January 23, 2016 in Florida. Born March 11, 1923 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Jerome G. and Stella (Knight) Robinson. Orvil Gerome Robinson was a quiet, humble man. Some knew him as Dad, some as Grandpa, and some as Chuck. He grew up in Kentucky during the depression, quitting school to help support his family. He was a teenager when his father died, which led him to Indianapolis. He found work at the Chrysler Foundry where he worked for 30 years, retiring in 1975. Chuck was always there for his family, friends and anyone who needed him, yet he never asked anything for himself. We were all blessed to have had him in our lives. He will be forever missed.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty); sons, Roger and Michael; grandchildren, Jennifer, Gregory, Carla, and Lori; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Marion; sister, Mae. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Nell; brothers, Ray and Roger; sisters, Dorothy and Pauline. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016, in Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service Saturday.
