Oscar J. Ross, age 77, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday March 3, 2013 with his family at his side. Oscar was born August 17, 1935 in Cincinnati, OH to Albert and Rose (Sallee) Ross. He was a manager for Choc-ola for many years and later owned the Mattress Shop.

He married the former Dorothy Gampfer on January 22, 1962 in Wise,VA and she survives along with his son, Martin L. (Corese) Ross of Sandusky, OH; daughters, Tammy King of Indianapolis, Kelly (Tom) Renz of Ft. Wayne, and Kristian (Pat) Griffin of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren; brother, Bobby Helton of Cincinnati, OH, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Connie Taylor.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 535 E Edgewood Ave. Indianapolis, IN, 46227, on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.with Fr. Todd Riebe officiating. Forest Lawn Funeral Home will be assisting with arrangements.
