Pamela D. "Pam" Cahen, 67 of Avon
passed away peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2024. She was born to John and
Margaret "Peggy" Menchhofer.
She was a wife, daughter, sister, mom, Grammie
Pammie, BFF and Bestie.
Pam attended Catholic school at Ladywood School,
Indianapolis. Pam was a Boone County Master Gardener, through the Purdue
Extension Office. She would never pass up an opportunity to say, "Oh that's a
nice rock, we should take it home." She was also a member of the Disabled
American Veterans Auxiliary and an outstanding human being, loved by family and
many friends.
She loved to sew, attended to her flowers/trees
in the gardens, created shadow boxes, genealogy, anything Indycar and the Indy
500, and arts and crafts.
Most notable, Pam worked at the Indianapolis
Motor Speedway early in life and RCA where she met Jeff and later married.
After Emily was born, she decided her next job title would be, the world's best
stay at home mom.
Pam believed that upon passing, a person will
get the answers to all the questions in life they seek. On top of her list was,
who really killed JFK and where the heck was Amelia Earhart?
Pam leaves behind to cherish her memory her
husband of 40 years Jeffrey Cahen; daughter Emily (Stacey) Hall; grandson Finnley;
brother Bill Menchhofer, nieces Thierry and Briana Menchhofer and her mother
Peggy Menchhofer. She is proceeded in death by her father John
Menchhofer.
Pam will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memory
Gardens at a later date along with a Celebration of Life gathering. In lieu of
flowers/cards, contributions may be made in her name through DAV.gov or Misty
Eyes Animal Center.
