Pamela Louise
Perry-Shake
Sep 19, 1952 — Aug 13, 2026
Pamela Louise Perry -Shake passed away peacefully Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the age of 73.
Pam was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, on September 19, 1952. She was the older sister of Deborah Gipson (Lindsey Gipson). She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Theresa Louise Perry, and her nephew, Robert Gipson.
Pam was a graduate of Beech Grove High School, Class of 1970. Shortly after graduation, she married Richard Williams and began a 20 career at Indiana Bell/Ameritech.
She is survived by her one and only daughter, April Louise Alvey; her spouse, Thurman Alvey; and her granddaughters: Lucy, Claire, Lydia, and Audrey.
They lived in Franklin, Indiana for 25 years. She was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
After their divorce, Pam became a dental assistant and worked at the Plainfield Correctional Facility. She also spent some time in Florida. In retirement, she worked at Long’s Bakery off Southport Road—where, with the courage only she could find, she asked a sweet friendly gentleman if he would like to get a cup of coffee with her. And by the grace of God, he said yes.
Pam married Greg Shake on March 7, 2021. Greg took Pam on many exciting adventures during their six years of marriage. They enjoyed concerts, festivals, boating, and travel, and they especially loved some of the finest pork tenderloin restaurants. Greg cared for her every minute of every day until their final goodbye on August 13, 2026.
Pam had a unique sense of humor and will be remembered for the things she loved most: Elvis, Diet Coke, the beach, and The Young and the Restless. She only liked Siamese cats. Her favorite buddy was her Shih Tzu, Prince, who sat with her until the very end.
If Pam loved you, she loved you with all of her heart. And if she didn’t like you, she told you. Despite all of her flaws, she was the best mom in the whole wide world.
Services will be announced at a later date.
