Patricia Dianne
Buckallew
Oct 24, 1957 — Nov 7, 2018
Beech Grove
Patricia D. Buckallew, 61, of Beech Grove passed away November 7, 2018. She was born in Beech Grove-Indianapolis, IN on October 24, 1957 to Ray Thomas Buckallew Sr. and Ruby Effie (Holmes) Buckallew.
Patty was one the most beautiful souls given to this world; to know Patty was to love Patty. She made the world a better place just by being in it, always willing to help anyone in need. She was a hardworking individual who loved working at General Motors, but her family was what was most important to her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, ghost hunting, cooking, crocheting, wine tasting, letter boxing and playing video games. She was an avid Colts fan. She spent 22 years of her life with her wife, Jodie and they were married in 2013. Patty was lovingly nicknamed the "baby whisperer" as every child she encountered loved her and would follow her around. She was a kid at heart with a dynamic imagination. With such a vivid imagination, she allowed us see the world with more beauty and was an awesome storyteller. She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Ray T. (Linda – living) Buckallew Jr. and Donna (Wayne – living) Parris.
She is survived by her loving wife, Jodie Wilson-Buckallew; daughter, Christina (Todd) Barber; son, Alec (Hailey) Wilson; siblings, Michael (Annette) Buckallew and Nancy Dillon; grandchildren, Zoe Marie Wilson, Milo Fox Barber, Ellie Rae Wilson and Lola Valentine Barber and numerous, very loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood.
