Patsy Jo Cory, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011. She was born in Crittenden County, KY to the late Ronald and Mary Simpkins. Patsy was a devoted wife and mother; her family was her most prized possession. She was also an avid Kentucky fan who had a great sense of humor. Patsy at one point was employed by the Franklin Township Informer and that was one of her favorite jobs. Patsy is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Cory; five sons, Thomas Cory II, Patrick Cory (Shiloh), Gene Cory, Larry Cory (Barb), Tony Cory (Dana); one daughter, Lynn Jefferson (Todd); one brother, Stanley Simpkins (Linda); seven grandchildren, Wyatt Cory, Shawn Shumaker, Cierra Ayres, Jessica Shand, Travis Moss, Jonathon and Pamela Cory; four great-grandchildren. Family and friends will gather in Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A service will be held also in the funeral home, on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Patsy will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
