Patty Lou Ambs, 72, of Indianapolis, IN died Monday, September 28, 2009. Patty was born to the late Leona Yates Devney in Indianapolis on February 20, 1937. Patty worked from her home in home interiors for a number of years. She married Herbert D. Ambs and he precedes her in death. Surviving are three sons and daughter in-laws: Dean & Michelle Ambs, Mike & Dolores Ambs, and David & Shannon Ambs. One daughter and partner: Sherry & Sheila Ambs. Five grandchildren. Three sisters and a brother in-law: Martine Thibo, Judy & Paul Wylie, and Carole Wilson. Two brothers and sister in-laws: John & Carol Devney, and James & Carol Devney. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135 Greenwood, IN 46143. Memorials may be given to either Grace Point Church-Whiteland, IN or the American Cancer Society.
