Mr. Paul Theodore Ashley, Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly at his residence. He was 64. Paul was born July 13, 1958 in Elkhart, Indiana, the son of the late Paul Joseph and Dorothy Eloise (Mason) Ashley.
Paul attended and graduated from Elkhart High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Butler University in 1981. He then continued his education and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Indiana University School of Law in 1990. Paul had been employed as a clinical pharmacist with Wishard Hospital (now Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital) before retiring in 2014 after 27 years of service.
Paul spent much of his leisure time gardening, caring for his vegetables and flowers. He also enjoyed photography and was an avid reader. Paul was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Nicole Ashley as well as his former spouse, Berniece Ashley.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in passing by his sisters, Lea Catherine Ashley and Janet Elaine Ashley.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Lanigan officiating. Inurnment will follow after the services at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
