Mr. Paul Eugene "Pete" Engleman, Greenwood, went home to be with the Lord on the early morning of Sunday, September 6, 2026 having attained the age of 93 years. Pete was born August 14, 1933 in Bloomington, Indiana, a son of the late Lt. Colonel Claybourne Carroll and Dessie C. (Alstott) Engleman.

Pete attended was graduated from Yokohama High School in Japan and earned a Masters degree from Parks University now the University of St. Louis. He also proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force as well as the United States Navy. After his military service he began a long career with the Department of Defense where he was an Aeronautical Engineer and served as an R and D team leader until retiring in 1996.

Paul was a faithful Christian and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Indianapolis.

Pete is survived by his loving wife, Delight (Hill) Engleman; his children, Paula Kivett, Brian (Suzanne) Engleman and Steve (Lauren) Engleman; his grandchildren, Brianna Todd (Chris Percifield), Violet Todd, Ryan Broome, Sarah (Jacob) Rosko and Paige Engleman; his great-grandson, Roman Rosko as well as several nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

He is preceded in passing by his parents and a grandson, Aaron Todd.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with Rev. Andrew Rice officiating. Military honors will be conferred by a contingent from the United States Air Force and the Indy Metropolitan Military Honor Guard. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
