Paul R. Henson Sr., 89, of Indianapolis passed away August 29, 2017. He was the last of his generation, born on May 1, 1928 in Newcomb, TN to William Sylvester and Ruey Jane (Foust) Henson.

Paul''s family moved from Tennessee to Indiana where he was employed in a factory. He was truly a great man and a true southern gentleman. He was a man who was an avid hunter, lived by the Bible, and was successful in raising his children by his self. He retired from Rexnord after many years of faithful service. Paul enjoyed children and company and had an open door policy for anyone who would want to come visit.

Paul was preceded in death by his ex wife, Kathy Sellers; brothers, William and Elias "Chet" and sisters, Mary and Ellen "Desi Mae".

He is survived by his son, Paul Henson Jr.; daughters, Vicki (Craig) Henson Driver and Nikki Case Banks; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S.State Rd. 135, Greenwood. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 2 at 11:00 am, also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Following the burial, food and festivities will be served at Paul's residence.
