Obituary

Paul Scott Medley, 89, of Martinsville, passed away April 29, 2016. The son of Elias and Mary Scott Medley, Paul was born August 31, 1926 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Paul served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Greenwood United Methodist Church, the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite and the Masonic Lodge. Paul loved to bake bread and was an avid bowler, having bowled with several leagues at Southern Bowl.

Paul is survived by his wife, Julia A. Schonthaler Medley of Martinsville, whom he married on May 3, 1946; daughters, Debra A. (Ronald) Pechacek of Cypress, TX and Vicki L. (Robert) Voyles of Martinsville; grandchildren, Troy Voyles, Katherine "Kadie" (William) Rhodes, Robert "Bobby" Coltharp, Staci Voyles and Robert K. (Brenda) Voyles and great-grandson, Jason Voyles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dallas, Bernard, Elias "Jr.", Carl and Ray Medley; sisters, Katherine Werner, Frances Whitlock and Hazel Sword; and grandson, Clinton Voyles.

Funeral services 12:00 p.m. May 2, 2016 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
