Fairland:
Paul Shepherd, 63, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at his residence. Paul was born on March 12, 1948 in Hamilton, OH to the late Cloyd and Maggie (Spurlock) Shepherd .
He served in the Army from 1967-1969. Paul was employed with GM for 35 years, lastly as a master mechanics supervisor; retiring in 2004. Paul loved the water and to sail. He was a very hard worker, would do anything for anyone, and was very giving. His family says he was the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend anyone could ask for.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (Bayne) Shepherd of 11 years; their children: Michael Brian Shepherd, Rachel Williams, David Stewart, and Christopher Stewart; brother Donald Gene Shepherd (sister-in-law Donna); uncle-in-law Ronald Leohr; 10 grandchildren; mother-in-law Crystal Gosman; and best friends Damon & Sherry Davis.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; son Paul Thomas Shepherd; brother Harold Ray Shepherd; and father-in-law Carl Gosman.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. as well as on Saturday, September 3, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with military rites to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
