Paul E. Toms, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019, in Decatur, AL.

Born January 1, 1932, in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Thorsten and Anna (Brinson) Toms.

Paul was a 1950 graduate of Decatur Central High School. He married Evelyn Leapley on April 19, 1952.

He retired in 1994 after a 43 year career in sales. He loved to fish, watch football and he loved his family. He had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his daughter, Sharon (Les) Collier of Decatur, AL; sons, Steve Toms of Fairburn GA, Stan Toms of N. Myrtle Beach SC; grandchildren, Chris Randall, Kellie (Doug) Halbrooks, Stephanie (Jeff) Barnes, Stephen (Shelby) Toms, Shannon (Stephen) Ripley, Crystal (Travis) Flinchum; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Manning, Talta Palmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn; and a brother, Charles Toms, Sr.

Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
