Pearl "Kathy" Scurlock, beloved resident of Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the age of 75. Born in Winchester, KY, she was the cherished daughter of Clarence and Ada Lamb.

Kathy dedicated over 25 years of her life working as a laundry folder at Mechanic Laundry, where her dedication and strong work ethic made her a valued member of the team. Beyond her career, Kathy found immense joy in caring for her beloved family and her dear cat, Hickles. Her outspoken nature and simple, honest lifestyle touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Kathy's memory will be lovingly cherished by her children: Donnie (Kim) Scurlock, Rex (Libby) Scurlock, Tonya (Cliff) VanFossen, and Martin Scurlock. She also leaves behind a legacy in her grandchildren: Justin Scurlock, Matthew Scurlock, Tim Scurlock, Hann Davidson, Jeremy (Lisa) VanFossen, Brittany Steward, Michael Scurlock, Linda Johnson, Skyelynn Scurlock, Ryan C. Scurlock Jr., Ashley Scurlock, and Devon Gurganus, as well as numerous great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents; her son, Ryan Scurlock; her grandson, Joshua Scurlock; and other dear family members who welcomed her into eternity.

A visitation to celebrate Kathy's life will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Her funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, with the burial immediately afterward at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Tonya VanFossen, 7837 Savannah Drive, Indianapolis, IN, 46217, in honor of Kathy's generous spirit.

Kathy's warmth, care, and love for her family and friends will be dearly missed but will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
