Phyllis Kay (Thrasher) McElyea was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on Dec. 16, 1952. Phyllis
passed away on Dec. 29, 2021 at the age of 69 in Mooresville, Indiana.

Phyllis was a cook at Country Charm nursing home for five years where she enjoyed feeding people
and spending time with others.

Phyllis was a woman of god and believed in her faith she would share god's word with anyone
that came into her life.

Phyllis was a very family oriented woman there was nothing she enjoyed more than spending
time with her husband, kids and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Phyllis was the foundation
that held her family together.

Phyllis and Darrell were married on July 22, 1972 where she began her new journey with her
best friend and love of her life. Darrell and Phyllis were inseparable. Their years of marriage is one that only some of us will ever dream about.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother Eva Mae Thrasher, father Kenneth Thrasher,
brother Robert Thrasher, sisters Connie Ray, Brenda Thrasher, and Patty Barz
Phyllis is survived by her husband Darrell McElyea; brothers Mike (Donna) Thrasher, Tim
(Bridgett) Thrasher; sister Kathy Todd; daughter Tina (Jamie) Smith; son Joshua (Vicky)
McElyea; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews.
