Phyllis Ann Cook, 84, of Bargersville, passed away November 27, 2013. The daughter of Cornelius Sr. and Elizabeth A. Kuehn O''Hern, Phyllis was born February 4, 1929 in Linton, Indiana.
A homemaker, she was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church. Phyllis was a 1947 graduate of Linton Stockton High School. In her youth, she enjoyed roller skating. Phyllis enjoyed all types of music but was especially fond of Elvis and county-western and would frequently attend concerts. She enjoyed decorating, landscaping and tending to her flowers. She had a huge doll collection and time permitted, would go to garage sales where she would watch to add to her Avon bottle collection.
Survivors include her son, Brian (Debby) Cook of New Palestine; sister, Marilyn Rose (Jim) Summers of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Kayla Cook and Sean Veteto; great-grandson, Trevor Veteto; niece, Angela (Jake) Pope; nephews, David A. (Sally) Miller and Ronald Miller and several other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by husband, Gleddis N. "Pete" Cook; brothers, Bobby and Cornelius O''Hern, Jr.; sisters, M. Jane Miller, Janet Lee Allen and Betty O''Hern.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. December 3, 2013 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow services at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
