Prentis "Slim" Lester Mullins, 86, Indianapolis, went home to be with the Lord on the early afternoon of September 27, 2022. Slim was born on June 15, 1936 in Frenchburg, Kentucky to his parents Turner and Rosie Mullins. Slim met the love of his life, his wife, Jennie (Wims) Mullins and together they shared 66 beautiful years of marriage.

Slim displayed admirable work ethic throughout his life from his dedicated service in Assembly for Chrysler and retired in 1999 after 30+ years of service. Slim was an honorary trustee at Power of Prayer Community Church for several years. He was a wonderful maintenance worker for the congregation whom people from all around his neighborhood came to rely on. He was the president of the neighborhood watch for several years and had a huge hand in organizing community events, including large neighborhood-wide pizza parties. Slim was always very generous, acting as a "Jack-of-all-trades" for anyone in need. Slim's family was at the center of his life; he made sure that they always knew how proud he was of them. The memories created will be cherished by those he leaves behind.

Slim is survived by his wife Jennie (Wims) Mullins; his children Sabrina Farwell and Sheila (Tim) LaDuct; his grandchildren, April (John) Jones, Ronald (Amanda) Enochs, Sharon (Raymond) Williams and Wade (Kena) Farwell; his great grandchildren, Kylien, Brock, Keeghan, Courtney, Justin, Autumn, Jacob, Logan, Josie, Hazel and Alex; several great great grandchildren; two siblings, Lula Flinchum and
Jean Audrey Hall; several nieces and nephews.

Slim is preceded in death by his parents; twelve of his siblings; best friends, Albert Barger and Kenneth Haddix.

For visitation, the family will receive loved ones and friends from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. He will then be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Following the services the family will be holding a celebration of life at the Power of Prayer Community Church. (225 S Parker Ave Indianapolis, IN 46201)

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Slim's honor to Power of Prayer Community Church.
