R.V. "BO" Boshears, 87, of Plainfield, died peacefully at home with his family at his side August 12, 2014 after a courageous battle against cancer. The son of LeRoy and Sally (McGhee) Boshears, R.V. was born August 13, 1926 in Jacksboro, Tennessee, and was raised in Bloomington, Indiana.
He retired in 1986 from Dennis Truck Line after 22 years of service where he faithfully delivered mail via semi from Indianapolis and Chicago. He was a WW II Navy veteran, having seen action in both Iwo Jima and Okinawa. R.V. was a member of Springhill Christian Church in Mooresville, Teamsters Local #135 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a devoted husband to Frances Louise (Nethery) Boshears for 67 years, whom he married on January 25, 1947; beloved father to daughters, Gloria Mack (deceased), Diana Sue (David) Lewis of Wesley Chapel, Florida and Sandy Kay (Jim) Kloss of Plainfield; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and brothers, Bobby Boshears of Mooresville and Jimmy Boshears of Greenwood. Besides his parents, R.V. was preceded in death by sisters, Glodene Bowles, Norma Lee Branan and Phyllis Jean Clark.
Rev. Mark Wright will officiate funeral services 11:00 a.m. August 16, 2014 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on August 15, 2014. Burial with military honors will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
Our Dad had a deep faith and love of the Lord and is with Him in Heaven today along with our sister. We have lost a loving and wonderful man and will miss him every day!
