Rae Lynn Eckels 65, died on Sunday, March 8 th 2020 at Ascension St Vincent Heart in Carmel, Indiana.

She was born to Isadore Mikell and BettyLou (Wright) Mikell on April 9 th 1954 in Indianapolis. She

Graduated from Avon High School. She married Charles D. Eckels Jr. in 1971, with him raised four

Children, Jeremy Eckels, Ja son Eckels Sr., Joshua Eckels and Jared Eckels. She divorced in 2001, and

Spent the rest of her life with her partner Mark Horner.

Rae lived in Indianapolis, and was an avid animal lover and caregiver who worked as a CAN at Lakeview

Manor Nu rsing home. A hard-working woman who dedicated herself to the service of others, she only missed 5 days leading to her passing. She was a mother-figure to many nurturing and caring to everyone who knew her.

Rae is survived by her brothers David and Alan Mikell , her sons Jeremy, Jason, Joshua, Jared and her partner Mark Horn er, her 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and her best friend Pat Bryant.
