Ralph "Bud" Monteith, 86, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on March 28, 2022. He was born to parents Ralph and Lucille Monteith, in 1935. Bud graduated from Southport high school, attended Franklin College, and spent his entire working career of 30 years at Detroit Diesel Allison.

He married Carol Rich, the love of his life, in 1955 who survives him. Bud is also survived by sons Randy and wife Maureen, Ron and wife Jan, and sister Nancy Talley, as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bud was predeceased by parents, Ralph and Lucille Monteith, and sister Barbara Roberts.

Bud was known for his love of traveling, lake living and snow birding in Florida.  He loved his friends at the American Legion, Eagles and Moose lodges.  His grand and great grandchildren held a very special place in his heart.  He liked nothing better than tickling and ruff housing with them.

Buds service will be for immediate family members only on April 8, 2022 from 12:00 to 2:00.   Flowers can be sent to, Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens and Funeral 1977 S. State Road 135 Greenwood

Celebration of life will be held at the Beech Grove Eagles on May 7, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00.  Everyone is invited.
