Indianapolis:
Ramona Joyce Francis Cress, 79, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012. Ramona was born on August 2, 1932 in Beech Grove to the late Ray and Caroline (Siemer) Francis. Ramona is a 1951 graduate of Sacred Heart. She married her love Charles R. Cress on September 30, 1961.
Ramona was a keypunch operator for AFNB for over 20 years, retiring in 1987. She is a member of Nativity Catholic Church in Wannamaker. She was also a wonderful caregiver for her family, grandchildren and friends.
Ramona is survived by her loving husband Charles R. of 50 years; their children: Steven (Lisa) Cress of Maryland and Ron (Nancy) Cress of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Stephanie Cress and Matthew Cress; and sisters: Mary Cox and Shirley Hogue.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents and brother Gene Francis.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with her nephew, Father Bernie Cox officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity and/or a church of ones liking.
