Raquel Gonzalez, Indianapolis, passed away on the early evening of Friday, August 5, 2022. She was 94. Raquel was born in Monterey Mexico, a daughter of the late Romulo and Simone Salinas.
Raquel attended and graduated high school in Mexico and came to the United States at 22 years old. She was a homemaker and in her leisure time enjoyed such hobbies as sewing, knitting and dancing.
Raquel was a member of St Bernadette Catholic Church and worked on the women's committee.
An avid Christian. she believed in the power of prayer as well as helping her family and friends. She never missed prayer before her bedtime.
Raquel is survived by her husband
Sebastian Gonzalez;
her six children: Homero Gonzalez, Delia Huffman, Nelly Gonzalez, Sergio Gonzalez, Nora Barnard, and Maria Blackwell, and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
