Ray T. Buckallew Jr., 71, of Martinsville passed away October 11, 2017. He was born July1, 1946 in Indianapolis, IN to Ray T. and Ruby (Hines) Buckallew.

Ray spent his life loving the Lord, and his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, camping and the outdoors. Ray proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a Vietnam veteran and a purple heart recipient.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Tina Marie Buckallew.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Buckallew; sons, Thomas Ray (Suzan) Buckallew and Timothy Ray (Britney) Buckallew; brother, Michael Buckallew; sisters, Nancy Dillon, Donna (Wayne) Parris and Patty (Jodie) Buckallew; grandchildren, Timmy John, Beverly, Thomas Jr., Emily, Zoie, Josiah and Tyler Buckallew; great grandchildren, Lillian, Madelyn and Katlynn Buckallew.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 18 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 19 at 11:00 am, also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens
