Obituary

Mr. Raymond Verle Adams, Indianapolis, passed away on the early morning of Monday, June 21, 2021. He was 72. Raymond was born May 4, 1949 in Mooresville, Indiana, a son of the late Preston and Margaret (Stafford) Adams.

Raymond attended Mooresville High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1968. A proud veteran, Raymond served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Viet Nam Conflict. He was employed at Riley Tire and Chemical Company in Indianapolis and retired as a maintenance supervisor after 15 years of service.

In his leisure time, Raymond enjoyed woodworking and especially enjoyed tinkering with old cars and lawn mowers. An outdoorsman, he liked to fish and care for his yard. He loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed taking care of his grandson.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Teresa Beikes; his sons, Chris (Julie) Adams, Scott (Fiona) Adams, Thomas (Jennifer) Beikes and Jason (Kelly) Beikes; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his first wife, Deborah Sue Adams; a granddaughter, two brothers and a sister.

Memorial services will be announced when finalized by the family.

Inurnment will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
